Founded in 1984, our mission is to foster a thriving technology and media community in Minnesota and beyond.

Our Team:

Executive Director: Valerie Franklin Lockhart

As the Executive Director, Valerie brings a wealth of experience and passion to our organization. She is committed to driving the mission of MTN.org and ensuring that our programs and initiatives create a lasting impact on our community. With over 25 years of training development and facilitation, and over a decade of entrepreneurship and organizational executive management, Valerie directs our programming toward empowering individuals to express themselves and become more self-sufficient using tech and media arts. 

Technical and Creative Director:  Troy A. Peterson

Serving as the Technical and Creative Director, Troy is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of our diverse range of programs. He brings a unique combination of technical expertise and creative vision to the organization, ensuring that our initiatives are both innovative and effective. As a host, Troy engages with our community, sharing their knowledge and enthusiasm for the world of technology and media.

Our Ambassadors:

At the heart of our organization are our Ambassadors, who are dedicated member volunteers that help drive our mission forward. These passionate individuals play a crucial role in the success of our programs and initiatives, as they actively participate in organizing events, providing mentorship, real-world experience, and promoting our values throughout the community.
