Deb grew up in Minneapolis, went off to the wilds of Iowa for college, then even farther afield to Germany to study, live and fall in love. She's the entire German dept. at Normandale Community College, but pinch hits in the English dept. when needed. She's a professor, a mother, a grandmother, tree hugger and a lover of words in both languages.

She's been published in both English & German. When talking about her writing, she says, "I write about the small, ordinary things in life that bring such pleasure, annoyance, pain and joy. I'm a quiet hedonist and savor the sensual in everything I write. It's in the everyday that we catch glimpses of the passion, the wonder and the awe of the larger universe and connect with every other person who's ever lived."

Join us Sunday evening to hear some of Deb's poems live!
