MTN Youth needs your support!

This year, MTN Youth is participating in Give to the Max Day to raise funds for a new Teen Council program. The Teen Council campaign will support MTN's efforts to produce a series of live TV shows in 2013 on issues important to youth. MTN Youth is Minneapolis' center for youth-driven community media. We train and empower young people from our city's diverse communities and neighborhoods to express their own perspectives through the media. Through internship programs, classes and workshops, and our new Teen Council, we offer leadership and media communications skills to more than 600 youth each year. The Teen Council campaign will provide MTN with resources and youth-dedicated equipment to organize monthly Teen Council days, during which youth will receive video production training and assistance so they can plan and create live programs on the issues that they think are important.

(For an example of the type of program we mean, check out the recent Youth and Politics LIVE forum at

Our current goal of $5,000, while modest, will kick off the Teen Council's efforts in 2013. Please schedule your donation TODAY for Give to the Max Day 2012 and help us meet our goals! This year,  you can schedule your donation early, and it will automatically go through on Give to the Max Day (Nov. 15) when your dollars are maximized by matching funds and prizes. After you make the donation, share it on Facebook, Twitter and other social networks. We need your help us get the word out about youth-produced community media!

Also, check out the MTN Youth blog and see what our new interns are up to here:

If you wish to spread the word by face to face communication, just tell your friends to go to The green "Donate Now" button goes directly to our Youth Campaign page.

Please join the Facebook event and invite your friends!

Your 100% tax-deductible contribution will go entirely to training and empowering young filmmakers and will be appreciated by all of us at MTN.

Thank you in advance for your support!
