MTN is getting some visibility in the world of community media this season. An article about Somali production at MTN will be featured in the next edition of Community Media Review, the publication of the Alliance for Community Media (ACM). The Alliance for Community Media is a national organization of public access organizations. ACM’s mission it “to assure everyone's access to electronic media. The Alliance advances this goal through public education, a progressive legislative and regulatory agenda, coalition building and grassroots organizing,” according to their web site. MTN was also the "featured member" of the National Alliance of Media Arts and Culture (NAMAC) web site. NAMAC is a national association of non-profit organizations and individuals committed to furthering the media arts: film, video, audio and digital. MTN Executive Director Pam Colby is on the Board of Directors of NAMAC.
