The Spectator, a public affairs program on MTN, is changing its format. Producer-director Richard Darud has given the green light for a new segment, "Hobbes in the House," featuring Insight News' columnist Dwight Hobbes.

Hobbes emerged on the Minneapolis-St. Paul scene in 1992 with scathing commentary and searing arts criticism in area publications, including the "Something I Said" column in Insight News. His writing has appeared in the opinion journal
COLORS as well as Minnesota Law & Politics, Mpls/St. Paul magazine, St. Paul Pioneer Press, Minneapolis Star Tribune. He has contributed to Readers Digest, the Washington Post, Essence, Pulse of the Twin Cities and City Pages. In addition to his regular column in Insight News, he is the arts critic for that publication.

The Spectator is co-hosted by William Reau and Booker T. Hodges.
