I’d like to give a big THANKS to all of you who filled out our Member’s Surveys. These surveys will be tabulated and used in the talks between the City and Time Warner Cable as a new Cable Franchise is negotiated for the City of Minneapolis.
Franchise Renewal is the time that we assess the job that MTN is doing and look at ways to improve community television in Minneapolis. On a larger scale, it is also the time that the City assesses the job that Time Warner is doing as our sole cable provider. Participating in the survey is an excellent way of showing that you care about the future of Public Access in Minneapolis. I will keep you updated about the Franchise Renewal Process as we move forward.

few beloved Producers. This has been due to commercial content on programming submitted for our non-commercial channels. Please, take a moment to re-read MTN'S Handbooks for Public Access. If you don't have a copy of the handbook, you can read it on the MTN website: www.mtn.org. Talk to an MTN staff member if you are at all confused about any of our rules.
Finally, I’d like to encourage all producers to attend our Member’s Screenings. These events provide a great opportunity to have a segment of your work projected on the big screen and get feedback from your peers. The evenings are a lot of fun and everyone is welcome! MTN’S next Member’s Screening is scheduled for Friday, March 12th at 7 pm in MTN Studio A. Contact John if you have something to show, or just drop by to watch. There is a fifteen minute limit on clips and anything is welcome, including works in progress.
