Advertising on MTN
There has recently been an increase in violations of the MTN “no advertising” policy.  This is one of public access television’s most fundamental rules.  MTN channels are unlike every other channel because we are nonprofit and commercial free. If you would like to make money with advertising, please go to one of many commercial networks, because you cannot have commercials on MTN.

MTN’s commercial and non-commercial policy is as follows:

Phone Numbers
Non-commercial phone numbers may be given only at the beginning or the end of a program for no longer than 60 seconds each; they cannot be displayed throughout the duration of the program.
Commercial phone numbers may never be given.
Addresses
Non-commercial addresses may be shown only at the beginning or the end of a program for no longer than 60 seconds each; they cannot be
displayed throughout the duration of the program.
Commercial addresses may not be given. The general location, community or neighborhood may be given, but specific addresses or intersections are prohibited.
Websites
Commercial and non-commercial website addresses may be shown only at the beginning or the end of a program for no longer than 60 seconds each; they cannot be displayed throughout the duration of the program.
Prices
Prices may never be given.

Violation of these rules will result in a mandatory suspension of six months.  Please help keep MTN healthy and commercial free!

67 = 75?
MTN's channel 67 moved to channel 75 on December 30, 2002. As confusing as it may be, Time Warner has the legal right to make changes to their channel line-up as it has in the past and may do in the future.  Sorry for any confusion!
If you need some quick MTN information and you don't have a paper copy of your MTN Monitor, class schedule, or handbook, try visiting the MTN web site, at www.mtn.org. Here you will find weekly MTN program schedules, class information, past issues of the MTN Monitor newsletter, and much more.

I have spent some time lately revising the site and changing the look and layout of it.

If you spend some time clicking around the site, you'll certainly find things that you would like changed, or suggestions for things you'd like to see on the site. Let me know about your ideas: you'll find an e-mail link to me at the bottom of the pages.
