Summer Media Camps for Youth at MTN

The Minneapolis Television Network is proudly offering three youth summer media camps in 2010. The camps take place at MTN's studios, on the Mississippi River across from downtown Minneapolis. All camps run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Middle School Camp
This camp is designed for kids with little to no video experience. The camp will introduce students to studio and portable cameras. The students will have a chance to have hands on experience with different cameras as well as learn how to edit. Each student will receive a year's membership to MTN as well as a DVD of the projects they created
Dates: June 21st-23rd
Cost: $100 for non-members and $75 dollars for members (Scholarships are available)
Number of Spaces: 10



High School Video Camp
This camp is designed for students with little to no video experience. The camp will introduce students to studio and portable cameras. The students will have a chance to have hands on experience with different cameras as well as learn how to edit. Students will create an in camera edit short as well as a short edited with IMovie that will eventually put in to a news magazine type show. Each student will receive a year's membership to MTN as well as a DVD of the projects they created.
Dates: July 6th- 8th
Cost: $100 for non-members and $75 dollars for members (Scholarships are available)
Number of Spaces: 12

The Broadcast Journalism Camp has been canceled.


*Please Note: All students are responsible for bringing their own lunch. There is a café below MTN where students can get sandwiches.
