The Minneapolis Television Network offers equipment and training to help community producers create programming for the MTN channels. We have a number of edit suites, in addition to cameras and two studios, to help bring your video project to life. We also offer classes to get you up and running on the equipment. To get access to our production equipment, you must be certified to use it, either by taking the class or through a "Walk in Certification." MTN also has a Production Services Department to provide professional video production of events and programs for a fee. Contact mtn to get a quote. Equipment Available Two three-camera studios that include audio mixers, light grids, blue screen backgrounds and several titling options. A simple single operator studio. A solar system of edit suites, both linear and nonlinear. iMovie nonlinear edit systems for beginniners and Final Cut Pro edit systems for advanced users. Sony digital PDX-10 cameras for beginners. Advanced three chip DVCAM camcorders (Sony PD-170 and DSR-250), for advanced users. light kits microphones cables, mixers, extension cords, etc. Checkout Rules All basic cameras may be checked out for up to five days per month. Sunday does not count as a camera checkout day (i.e., a Saturday to Monday check-out counts only as one day). No bookings or time extensions on existing bookings will be accepted on voice mail. There is a $5 charge for equipment returned more than one hour late. There is a $15 fine for access users who do not return their own equipment. Access users must be present throughout the entire check-out and check-in. Any access user returning equipment after the scheduled return date will be fined $40.00 per unscheduled day and will be subject to suspension and loss of equipment privileges.
