Minneapolis Neighborhood News #103

Minneapolis Neighborhood News is a production of the Minneapolis Neighborhood Revitalization Program and MTN. In this show we take a look at the Powderhorn Empty Bowls event, the NRP Policy Board elections, and Holiday on 44th along 44th Avenue in North Minneapolis.

Segment One: Powderhorn Empty Bowls

The Powderhorn Empty Bowls is a community-building event that also raises money to help a neighborhood food shelf.

Segment two: NRP Policy Board Election

The NRP is directed by the Policy Board, which is composed of representatives from local government, nonprofits, and citizens. The citizen representatives are chosen at an election facilitated by the Minneapolis League of Women Voters.

Segment three: Holiday on 44th

A number of neighborhoods in the northwest corner of Minneapolis collaborate on Holiday on 44th, a community-building event that brings people both inside and outside on a cold and snowy night.

Minneapolis Neighborhood News can be seen on cable in the city of Minneapolis on MTN 16 on Sundays at 5 p.m., on MTN 17 on Fridays at 6:30 p.m.
