Minneapolis Neighborhood News is a production of the Minneapolis Neighborhood Revitalization Program and MTN. In this show we visit garden tours in the Cleveland, Bryn Mawr and Longfellow neighborhoods, and march along with active citizens supporting the NRP during the Aquatennial Torchlight Parade. Segment One: Cleveland Neighborhood Garden Tour The Cleveland Neighborhood in northwest Minneapolis holds an annual garden tour. In this segment, we visit five of the gardens featured this year. Segment two: Bryn Mawr Garden Tour The Bryn Mawr neighborhood has active gardeners who added plantings to their commercial corner and still create great gardens in their front and back yards Segment three: Longfellow Watershed Friendly Yard Tour The Longfellow Community has an active River Gorge Committee, that encourages residents to plant lawns that treat storm water on site. These gardens show how. Segment four: NRP in the Aquatennial Parade Active citizens of Minneapolis marched in support of the Neighborhood Revitalization Program in the annual Aquatennial Torchlight Parade.
