2010 Minneapolis and Saint Paul Home Tour Preview Show

The Minneapolis and Saint Paul Home Tour, a celebration of city living, is on April 24 and 25.
Here is the MTN-produced Preview Show for this year's tour.
Segment one - Kurt Kimber and Angela Wyatt chose their home because it's a short walk from the Hiawatha light rail line.
Segment two - In the Old Highland neighborhood of North Minneapolis, or NOMI, you will find many stately homes. Neighbors have been working hard to reclaim these homes and bring them back to their grandeur. Two generations of the Pier family already own homes in the area. Now they are working together on this spacious duplex:
Segment three - Steve and Barbara Plunkett love how close they are to nature along Minnehaha Creek. They worked with their architect and builder to bring a feeling of connection and flow into their kitchen reconfiguration.
Segment four - Some homeowners take on the WHOLE house, a piece at a time, while living in the house. That's what the Dockendorfs did in the Dayton's Bluff neighborhood of St. Paul.
Segment five - The Minneapolis and Saint Paul Home Tour, and the Minneapolis Neighborhood
Revitalization Program, both started in the late 1980's. NRP was set up by the State Legislature to help revitalize neighborhoods with money that residents decided how to spend. Many neighborhood organizations chose to put their NRP money into home improvement grants, loans and other housing programs. This is a look back at some of the homeowners from previous Home Tours who used those NRP-funded programs.
