MTN Welcomes NEW Voices for the 2010-2011 Season

This week we began our twenty-first year of partnering with South High School by teaching media literacy and production skills to seniors. The program, entitled VOICES which stands for Values Options Issues and ChoicEs in Society, launched a new year that will wrap up in the spring of 2011. This year's group of 52 were at MTN on September 13th touring and meeting MTN staff members. Students will make documentaries and PSA's on important social issues. Facebook Contest Winner An Old Favorite

Michael Johnson was the winner of MTN's most recent facebook contest for the grand prize of a fabulous MTN t-shirt. Mr. Johnson has been a member of MTN since 1998. He's made hours of programming for MTN and is known for executing some cutting edge techniques. Thanks Michael for keeping up with us! Producers to Happy Up An Hour!

Put this on your dance card! Producer's Happy Hour is a combination of a party/class/TV show. Join Chris Cloud and Kevin Albertson, producers of Mpls.tv, to discuss production planning and show promotion. Mpls.tv defines itself as "a Minneapolis collective of creative individuals dedicated to giving the community entertaining and insightful video content five days a week." Producer's Happy Hour is a quarterly gathering, an opportunity to learn, connect and share your skills with the greater MTN Community. Please come! Free! Friday, October 22 at 7 p.m.
